302,703 AI search impressions for a laser beauty equipment maker

Client background
This manufacturer builds 808 nm diode laser hair removal, cryolipolysis, HIFU and picosecond laser systems for aesthetic clinics and distributors. Its buyers are clinic owners, medical spa operators and importers who compare device specs, treatment protocols and safety data before they request a quote.
The company already published clinical and technical content, but most of it was written for search engines, not for the question-and-answer format that AI assistants use. The client wanted its expertise to surface when buyers ask AI tools about treatment results, device safety and technology comparisons.
Why generative AI search mattered
Buyers in this category ask AI assistants comparison and how-to questions: how long HIFU results take, whether EMS and RF training is safe, what happens to skin after fractional CO2 treatment, how cryolipolysis affects tissue at extreme temperatures. The pack shows this demand directly: queries like "hifu results after 1 week" and "cavitation and rf" rank on page one, and the content that answers them is what AI features cite most. The questions arrive in English from the US, India, the UK, Canada, Australia, the Philippines and Singapore, so the content had to answer clinical questions in plain, verifiable language.
What RAGSEO did
RAGSEO ran a GEO program with the SEO content base underneath it. The work followed the standard method:
- Defined the query scope around the questions buyers actually ask: HIFU result timelines, cryolipolysis aftercare, diode laser hair removal technology comparisons, EMS and RF safety, fractional CO2 skin recovery.
- Built a GEO knowledge base from the client's own product materials, treatment protocols and clinical notes, so drafts stayed accurate to the devices.
- Created EEAT-compliant articles written for those target queries, including the pieces that became the most-cited content: Managing Extreme Temperatures After Cryolipolysis, Efficacy of Diode Laser Hair Removal Technologies and The Science Behind 5D HIFU Machines.
- Applied Schema markup and loading-speed fixes so AI systems and crawlers could parse the pages cleanly, with mobile adaptability for the device mix the pack shows.
- Distributed content across 20+ authoritative global platforms plus the client's site, and tracked citations in ChatGPT search mode with regular screenshots.
Results: AI search visibility
In the last 3 months, Google AI features showed 302,703 AI search impressions for this property. The most-cited content maps directly to the clinical questions the GEO program targeted:
| Content theme | Citations |
|---|---|
| Managing Extreme Temperatures After Cryolipolysis | 54,808 |
| Efficacy of Diode Laser Hair Removal Technologies | 24,270 |
| The Science Behind 5D HIFU Machines | 13,272 |
Those three articles alone account for the bulk of the AI citations. The pattern is consistent with the query scope: buyers ask about treatment timelines, technology differences and safety, and the content that answers those questions in specific terms is the content AI features quote. The 302,703 AI search impressions figure covers the last 3 months of the tracked period.
Results: classic search alongside
Classic search grew at the same time. Over the 70-week tracked period ending 2026-08-17, the property recorded 34,877 clicks and 5,115,077 impressions, a growth multiple of 1.5x versus the starting period. Average weekly clicks rose from 353 in the first quarter to 567 in the last quarter (x1.6), and weekly impressions rose from 31.2K to 108.5K (x3.5). Semrush US organic data shows keywords moving from 242 in July 2024 to 565 in August 2025 and 1,384 in August 2026, with estimated monthly organic traffic rising from 86 to 233 to 592.
Honest reading and next step
The numbers are strong, but two things need context. First, the 12-month Search Console breakdown shows a 0.6% CTR and average position 8.7, which means many impressions sit on pages that rank mid-page and do not earn clicks. Second, the peak week was 675 clicks at week 53 of 70, and the last 4 weeks average 500 clicks per week, so traffic has cooled from that peak rather than climbing in a straight line. That is normal after a strong run, but it needs attention. On the GEO side, remember the boundary: ChatGPT answers either from live web search, which GEO can influence, or from knowledge stored in the model without web access, which cannot currently be optimized. We evaluate only against ChatGPT search results.
The next step is to push the mid-page positions into the top 3, especially for high-impression queries like "diode laser hair removal machine" at position 11.2, and to refresh the cryolipolysis and HIFU articles so their citation share holds. The base is in place. The work now is depth on the pages that already attract AI citations and clicks.
