1,792,540 AI search impressions for a pCB manufacturing and SMT assembly

Client background
This manufacturer makes 1 to 32 layer PCB prototyping and volume production plus SMT assembly, with no minimum order, serving electronics makers in 170 countries. Its buyers are engineers, sourcing managers and hardware founders who compare suppliers and check technical details before they request a quote.
The company already ranked for a wide set of technical and sourcing queries, but it wanted visibility where its buyers now start research: AI assistants and AI-generated search answers. RAGSEO ran a GEO program with the SEO content base underneath it, so the same technical material could serve both classic search and generative answers.
Why generative AI search mattered
Buyers ask AI assistants comparison and how-to questions: which supplier, which diode, how to wire a capacitor, how to convert watts to amps. The pack shows this demand across languages. First-page queries include USB pinout in Russian at position 4.1, half-wave rectifier in Spanish at 3.5, USB pin assignment in Japanese at 2.7, and semiconductor companies in the Philippines at 5.2. The most-cited AI content is also multilingual, from a Hindi article on mobile manufacturing companies in India to an Indonesian watts-to-amps conversion and a Spanish multimeter guide. That mix told us the target questions were practical and global, not brand-led.

In Google AI features over the last 3 months, the program produced 1,792,540 AI search impressions. The most-cited pieces map to the practical, multilingual questions the query scope targeted.

Those three pieces alone account for the largest share of citations. The pattern is consistent with the first-page query list: readers arrive with a concrete technical or sourcing question, and the article answers it in their language.
Results: classic search alongside
Classic search grew too. Over 70 weeks ending 2026-08-17, the site recorded 764,984 clicks and 97,407,133 impressions, a 7.5x growth multiple versus the starting period. Average clicks per week rose from 2,679 in the first quarter to 10,040 in the last quarter, and impressions per week from 562.7K to 1.33M. The peak week hit 21,856 clicks at week 32 of 70, and the last 4 weeks average 8,557 clicks per week. On Semrush US data, organic keywords moved from 884 in Jul 2024 to 13,057 in Aug 2025 and 14,277 in Aug 2026.
Honest reading and next step
Two things need a clear read. First, estimated monthly organic traffic on Semrush went from 413 to 17,254 and then to 6,189, so the keyword base kept expanding while estimated traffic pulled back from its high. Second, the weekly click peak of 21,856 at week 32 sits well above the last 4 weeks average of 8,557, so the current level is below that high point. The keyword count and AI citations show the content is still earning visibility; the traffic curve shows not every ranking turns into a visit.
On AI answers, the boundary matters: ChatGPT answers either from live web search, which GEO can influence, or from knowledge stored in the model without web access, which cannot currently be optimized. Optimizing for ChatGPT tends to help visibility in Gemini and Grok too because they reference public web content, but each model has its own mechanism, and we evaluate only against ChatGPT search results. The next step is to refresh the pages behind the traffic dip, push the positions 4 to 10 keywords toward the top 3, and keep tracking citations to see which themes hold.
