Client background

This manufacturer builds CNC lathes and turning centers, including multi-axis turning centers, vertical lathes, horizontal turning centers, gang-type tool machines and automation solutions. Its buyers are production engineers, plant managers and procurement teams who compare spindle specs, tooling configurations and automation integration before they ever send an inquiry. The site has to convince that audience that the company can handle a full machining process, not just sell one machine. The original homepage carried the message but gave search engines and buyers little structure to work with.

Brief and design direction

The homepage had to work as a technical overview and a sales path at the same time. The visible structure leads with a turning expert positioning, then states that the company provides complete automation solutions, then moves through energy conservation and environment protection, products, core technology, automation solutions and news. That order matters: an industrial buyer wants proof of capability before a catalog.

The navigation mirrors the same logic, splitting turning centers by type (Multi-axis, Vertical, Horizontal, T Series gang type tool, HCL Series), then Automation, Automation Solution and Application. The design direction was product-first with solution context, plain language, no lifestyle imagery, and clear paths from a machine family to a specification and an inquiry. The tone stays technical and specific because the reader is checking whether the builder can support a production line, not browsing for inspiration.

What RAGSEO built

RAGSEO built a marketing-driven WordPress site for this manufacturer, following the standard website method. The work started with a homepage mockup for approval, then moved to a full responsive build to W3C standards and SEO best practices.

  • Homepage mockup first, so the turning expert and automation solution messages were agreed before development.
  • Responsive build tested across desktop and mobile devices, with SSL installation and domain setup.
  • Product entries uploaded for testing, covering the turning center families and automation solutions visible in the navigation.
  • Contact and inquiry paths placed so a buyer can move from a product family to a conversation without leaving the page flow.
  • SEO settings applied at the page level, including title and meta structure, and image handling across the 63 homepage images.
  • Backend training and secure credential handover after launch, with open-source independent code the client fully owns and can manage without us after the partnership ends.

The site was delivered within the standard RAGSEO launch window of 35 working days. No hreflang languages are present in the pack, so no multilingual setup was part of this build.

Structure and conversion paths

The homepage is organized around capability first, catalog second, which fits how a plant engineer evaluates a machine tool supplier.

  • The hero and first h2 sections, Turning Expert and complete automation solutions, establish the company as a process partner before listing products.
  • The Product and Core Technology sections give the buyer a way into the turning center families and the technical reasons to choose them.
  • Automation and Automation Solution sections answer the integration question that separates a machine sale from a production line project.
  • Application and News sections build confidence with use cases and current activity, which supports due diligence.
  • The navigation and contact form keep a short path from any product family, such as Multi-axis, Vertical or Horizontal turning centers, to an inquiry.

Search footprint and next step

The Semrush US database shows 3 organic keywords and an estimated monthly organic traffic of 0 for this domain. That is a normal starting point for a newly built custom site: the structure, product entries and technical setup are in place, but search visibility has not been earned yet. The homepage also carries no hreflang languages, so the site is currently English-only from a search standpoint.

The next step is usually the SEO content program: keyword and topic research around turning centers, automation solutions and the industries served, then RAG knowledge base content drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by professional editors, published after client approval. That work is what turns a well-built site into a source of organic inquiries.
