Client background

This client is a construction machinery group that sells excavators, mini excavators and cranes. The site in this case is a custom design build in French, aimed squarely at the French market. The buyer here is not a casual shopper. It is a contractor, a fleet manager or a public works purchaser who compares specifications, checks local support and wants a quote fast. The site has to look like a manufacturer, not a reseller, and it has to speak French from the first line.

Brief and design direction

The job of the homepage is to state what the company makes and route visitors into the right machine family. The visible structure is product-first rather than solution-first: the navigation lists equipment categories such as mini excavators, midi excavators, crawler excavators, wheeled excavators, demolition excavators, the electric range, loaders, graders, compactors and pavers. A French buyer lands, sees the machine class they need, and clicks one level deeper.

The tone stays industrial and factual. No lifestyle imagery, no vague claims. The page carries 55 images, which fits a catalog where each machine family needs a clear visual reference. The design direction was to make the range legible at a glance and keep the path from category to product short.

What RAGSEO built

RAGSEO built this as a marketing-driven WordPress site, following the standard website method used for industrial manufacturers.

  • Homepage mockup first, reviewed and approved before the full build started.
  • Full responsive site built to W3C standards and SEO best practices, tested across desktop and mobile devices.
  • Product catalog structure for the machine families in the navigation, with product entries uploaded for testing.
  • Contact and inquiry paths placed so a buyer can request a quote from category and product pages.
  • SEO settings, SSL installation and domain setup as part of launch.
  • Backend training and secure credential handover, with open-source independent code the client fully owns and can manage without RAGSEO after the partnership ends.

The standard RAGSEO launch window for this kind of build is 35 working days, and the speed target is LCP at or under 2.5 seconds.

Structure and conversion paths

The live structure is a straightforward catalog funnel. Each visible section has one job: move the buyer closer to an inquiry.

  • The navigation lists machine families, from mini excavators through cranes and the electric range, so a buyer self-selects the category they already have in mind.
  • The homepage title and meta description name the company as a construction equipment specialist for the French market, which sets expectations before the first scroll.
  • Product family pages carry the specification and image detail a technical buyer needs to shortlist a machine.
  • The 55 images on the homepage give each family a visual anchor, which matters when buyers compare similar machine classes.

The weak point in the pack is the inquiry path: no contact form was detected on the homepage. That pushes buyers toward phone or email and adds friction. Adding a short quote request form on category pages is the first fix we would recommend.

Search footprint and next step

Semrush data in the US database shows 47 organic keywords and estimated monthly organic traffic of 0 for this domain. That is a normal starting point for a newly built French-market site: the pages exist, but they are not yet collecting search demand. It also tells us the keyword footprint is thin, and the site is not ranking for the machine terms its buyers actually type.

The next step is usually the SEO content program: keyword and topic research for French construction machinery queries, a RAG knowledge base built from the client's own product materials, and AI-assisted drafts reviewed by professional editors before publication. Monthly Search Console reporting then tracks which pages move.
